UK - Forward Swindon will be promoting Swindon as a prime location for distribution and logistics at The Commercial Vehicle show, NEC Birmingham on Tuesday 29th April, Wednesday 30th April and Thursday 1st May 2014, (Stand 3H110).
The Swindin UK campaign is exhibiting at this major UK trade show, including over 500 exhibitors from key distribution, logistics & vehicle brands. The Swindon UK campaign will be promoting Swindon’s widely recognised fast road networks, and in particular focusing on four key distribution sites available now for investment and development, all based along the A419. An important North-South route, the A419 and the adjoining A420 Oxford road, are both areas which are identified by the Borough for development of employment land.
Swindon based companies that are also exhibiting at the show are MAN, BMW, Mix Telematics and Yuasa Batteries. The Swindon UK team will be promoting other Swindon businesses at the show, some of which are very strong in fleet logistics and distribution. They include Howard Tenens, Johnson Matthey Fuel Cells, Oak Furniture Land, Honda, Torin-Sifan, Plessey semiconductors, MAN, MINI Plant Swindon, and Norbert D’Entressangle.
Phil Young, Director of Investment at Forward Swindon says: “We’re showcasing Swindon and its connectivity to the rest of the UK with direct access to the M4 and easy access to the M5. London, Bristol and the Midlands are all within easy reach and the prime sites we have on the A419 provide us with a very strong proposition.”
He continues “Allied with its skills base and available workforce, the town provides a compelling proposition for companies wishing to consider new distribution locations. Brands with large distribution sites already in the town include, B&Q, WHSmith, Aldi, Iceland and Wincanton”.
Enquiries about the distribution sites available are welcome to meet the team at the show, or call 01793 429 250.
